Joannie Jorczak specializes in coaching people who are in transition
and want to discover and realize their life purpose. As a professional
Co-Active Coach trained by the Coaches Training Institute, Joannie
uses her enthusiasm, compassion, and intuition to help her clients
live with more passion, deeper understanding, balance, and joy.
Joannie's playful personality makes addressing even the hardest
issues enjoyable and fulfilling. Joannie earned her Master's
degree in International; Intercultural Communications at San
Diego State University and has traveled and worked extensively
abroad. Her experience teaching college courses and teaching
overseas give her a special perspective on how transitions work
in a variety of settings and cultures. Whether you are starting
a new business, moving to a new city, searching for new relationships,
or wanting to make improvements in any area of your life, Joannie
will use her Co-Active Coaching skills, combined with her unique
experience with transitions, to help you achieve your goals.
Joannie also uses a variety of proven personality and intrinsic motivation
assessment tools that provide insight into who you are and how you were uniquely
created
to fulfill a special purpose in this world. The IMAGE assessment reveals
your motivational gifts and what specific careers would most satisfy you long
term.
Joannie helps you apply this knowledge to your life and get you into action
by breaking down your goals into bite-sized steps, encouraging you and holding
you
accountable to your commitments.
Joannie grew up in Ventura, California and attended undergraduate and graduate
schools in California. Her work experience includes everything from sports,
entertainment and activities coordinator on a resort in Guam to substitute
teaching in primary
and secondary schools to teaching public speaking and a career awareness
course at the university level. Joannie also has also been an instructor
at the American
Language Institute in San Diego while she was in graduate school. Subsequently,
she worked in Zurich, Switzerland for two years at Swiss Air, teaching everything
from presentation skills and resume building to testing their pilot candidates
for English proficiency. Following this, Joannie spent two years in San Francisco
as a recruiter for finance and accounting professionals, filling positions
for CFO’s to Entry Clerks and helping people in various stages of career
transition. All of these different experiences contribute to her true calling
and passion
for coaching. She began in September 2002 and hasn't looked back.
Joannie and her husband Joe recently moved from San Francisco to Torrance, CA
where they plan to stay indefinitely. In their free time, they love to run, rollerblade,
hike, walk on the beach, or have dinner with friends. They ran their first marathon
together a few years ago in San Diego. They currently attend St. Andrews Presbyterian
Church and plan on becoming more active in their community as they get more settled
in their new town.
