Coaching is all about you - the client. It focuses on your life
using three fundamental principles that are essential for meaning:
fulfillment, balance, and process.
Co-Active Coaching is a model is based on the philosophy that
you are naturally creative, resourceful and whole, and capable
of finding your own answers to the
challenges you face. In Co-Active Coaching, the job of the coach is to listen,
encourage, and empower rather than inform and advise. Coaching is about discovering
possibilities, getting beyond the "shoulds," stuck-points and distractions, and
getting into action to create a fulfilling life.

Fulfillment
What do you truly value? What activities bring you deep joy? Where is your passion?
Do you know what you were created to do and who you were created to be? Even
when we are certain of our life's purpose, we often have hurdles and barriers
that prevent us from living our dreams. Joannie will help you identify what brings
you true fulfillment and work with you to tame any self-defeating influences
that are keeping you from achieving your goals.
Balance
Allows you to see your life from many useful perspectives. It helps you realize
that you have alternatives and make the choices you want. It also gets you in
touch with effective planning methods, getting committed, and into action. Such
daily responsibilities as keeping the house clean, taking the kids to soccer
practice, getting the car serviced, and buying groceries can consume our lives.
Although these are important responsibilities, coaching can help you view life
from new perspectives that take into account all areas of your life. Learn to
focus in on and make time for what is most meaningful to you instead of dashing
about trying to have it all. View the Wheel
of Life to determine what areas of your life might need some special attention.
Process
When you picture a "path," you often envision a straight line from one point
to another. In reality, paths can be winding, narrow, and full of debris. The
path to reaching your dreams is often filled with ups and downs. When you finally
catch a vision, you look forward to the excitement and accomplishments. At
the same time, the setbacks and "stuck feelings" are also an important part
of the journey that contributes to your growth and strength. Process Coaching
allows
you acknowledge and focus on whatever moment you're currently in. Joannie specializes
in walking the path with you, celebrating your victories and guiding you through
the difficulties.
